Faith and Family Night PICS

Faith & Family Night

So periodically, GCU (Grand Canyon State University) and the Diamondbacks put on an event called Faith & Family night where after the ball game, a Christian singer/band puts on a concert. Yesterday Eli, Lexie, Jason and I went to one to see the Dodgers and then Jeremy Camp afterward. While I may not be the biggest baseball fan, I am definitely a Jeremy Camp fan and i'll take any reason to spend time with my hubby, sister, and brother! We all had a great time....pics will be in the next post!

Thursday night Eli, Gunner and I went over to Eli's parents for his dads bday dinner. YUMMY enchiladas and tostadas.... i've really been craving mexican food lately! Today we went to a birthday party for a friends little girls 1st birthday! Gunner had a blast playing with all the ladies and then took a looooong nap on mommy. The party made me realize just how fast time is going by. On Monday Gunner will officially be 6 months old! I can't believe my little tiny 5lb man is already over 3 times that size and well on his way to a year old! We're cherishing and loving every minute of it as his personality comes out more and more each day.

Well it's time for me to do some house cleaning, finish up the laundry and study for anatomy class. Love you all very much and will post again soon!

Pics!

Let's get out of this heat!!!! .... for the day that is....

Eli, Gunner and I decided that today was just as good as any to run up north for the day and escape the heat! Our destination.... Prescott! Until of course we arrived in Prescott and it was still 90 out. Bleh! So, we walked for a few minutes with Gunner in his bjorn and then had some lunch. After that we decided to keep on keepin' on and head north to Flag town. It was fun walking around with Gunner in his little carrier and to not be sweating profusely! In my next post will be pics of our trip and of just around the house.... also you can always check out my facebook for many MANY more pics!

All in all I would say that my first 3 day weekend with my new work schedule was QUITE successful. Thursday night we had Lexie, Jason and Ma over for some ice cream cake and samurai sams plus Gunner and game time! Friday we went to Gunner's little bug class at the Little Gym then dropped G off with grandma Kathy to enjoy a nice baby-free day together. We got massages, went bowling and then saw a movie! I must admit - this new schedule is SWEET! Can't wait for more 3 day weekends with my main men and family and friends.

This coming week brings the beginning to MASSAGE SCHOOL! I cannot WAIT!

Eli is still home, it's been amazing having him here for such a long stretch. Not sure when he is off again but I do know he only has 2 hunts left this season and I can handle that!

Well, as you can see it's late, and we've had a loooonnnnngggggg day. Tomorrow brings cleaning the house top to bottom before work for me. Now it's time to read and go to bed. Currently I am reading "The Case for Faith" by Lee Strobel - GREAT book. I highly recommend it.

Good night loved ones and we will check in again soon.

Lots of love,

Eli, Sawana and Gunner

prayer request!

Hey y'all - this is just a quick little blurb for a prayer request for a family at our church. They adopted the cutest little baby boy, Gavin, and he is having some troubles with vomiting quite frequently. Well it looks like he needs surgery and he is only 6 weeks old. I can't imagine how scary this must be for mommy and daddy. They are at the hospital now waiting for the Dr. to give the green light on surgery. They want him to stop vomiting before they do the surgery but he needs the surgery to stop vomiting so it is very frustrating and scary for mom and dad. Keep them in your thoughts and I will be sure to keep you posted on progress. Thank you all!

Time for ear infections and teething!

Hello family and friends! The last few weeks have been hectic but wonderful at the same time.

See below for a few pictures from Lexie's baby shower as well as just a couple of little G.

Poor Gunner had his very first ear infection a couple weeks ago. I knew something was up when he was screaming bloody murder at 6am. I took him to the pediatricians office and he prescribed him amoxicillin that he had to take twice a day for 10 days. His last day of meds was last Saturday and I am happy to report that our happy happy baby boy is back in full swing. He is laughing and smiling more than ever and he is SO SO close to crawling. He gets VERY angry that he can't quite do it but I predict in a couple weeks IF that he will be on the move and Eli and I will be getting a work out non stop!

Yesterday he and I had a mommy son day and did some shopping for his Christmas outfit. He will be SO handsome in his little pin striped suit I cannot wait! His auntie Lexie bought her little girl the CUTEST red dress yesterday. These kids will be styling! Don't worry - we will be sure to include pictures of them both in the Christmas newsletter. ;)

Today Gunner and mommy had another fun filled day! Every Friday we have his little bugs class for babies 4months - 10months old at the Little Gym. Today was friendship day so he got to interact with a little girl baby and I think he has a crush!

Eli is out hunting right now and will be home Monday at the very latest. The hunt starts tomorrow and they have 8 hunters so please keep them in your thoughts that everyone gets something big! Eli's 30th birthday is also this coming Monday! We mailed out invites to his 30th bday party which will be at our house October 23rd so look for those in the mail very soon unless you already have them! Let me know if you can make it, hope to see you there.

Right now I am working on some fundraising events for Leve Project (www.leveproject.org) and will keep you posted incase you're interested in volunteering ;) (wink wink!) time to get back to work and finish that as well as the laundry.

Wishing you all MANY blessings and will post again soon.

All our love,

Baby shower time!

Wow what a day! Today was Lexie (my sister-in-law, eli's sister's) baby shower! She looked gorgeous rockin' her green tank top and hot pink shoes! Gunner joined me for the festivities and had fun being passed around like a hot potato. He was quite the pimp flirting with all the older women ;) I have attached some pics but visit my facebook for the full album. There is a link to my facebook towards the bottom of the blog, just keep scrolling....

We cannot WAIT for baby girl Boaz to get here! She and Gunner are absolutely going to be the best dressed kids in town :)

September september - so excited you are here! The summer has been horrible and it's still going with a vengeance but soon it will be October and it will all be over.

This month we have much going on - today was Lexie's baby shower - the 13th is Eli's 30th birthday and the 24th is Tony's birthday. Then on September 22nd I start massage therapy school. Also - this is the last month of antelope season! Next month I never count because it's only the first week and 1/2 of October.... this is the last hard month. I can't wait to have my hubby here all the time... but don't worry, come February-ish i'll be desperate for antelope season to come back. ;) Just joking! But really, I hope that the season finishes out great for them all.

Well it's almost time for Gunner's last bottle. He has been very talkative tonight - I think he's telling me, Mom get off the dang computer and feed me!

Love you all!
