Waiting for summer to end....
Hello family and friends! It's time for another update. Not too much to tell, just little bits and pieces.
First off, there's some recent photos on the post below. The kids are getting SO big! Both are now officially in "big kid" beds and both handled it like absolute champs! Phew. Now let's hope potty training is that easy (dun dun DUN!). The kids have been spending their summer playing in grandma and papa's kid pool and sandbox, or having play dates and any of our houses. We started the summer doing the summer movie pass at Harkins with G man and he loved it! (Too bad it only lasts until the end of July) But it was a great way to escape the heat and get him out of the house.
Hunting season is nearing an end, but not before Eli's BIG trip to WY that will be over a month and a half long. Pray for safe travels, a super successful trip, and strength for all of us as we are apart. :)
Lex and J are eagerly awaiting the arrival of little Arie Boaz (due Oct. 20th) as are the rest of us. She just recently had her baby shower and the room is officially up and running. We can't wait!!
I am OFFICIALLY a licensed massage therapist (holla!). Yes, it's true. My license came in the mail the beginning of August and I have been working at a salon/spa downtown with 2 girls I went to HS with and one of their moms ever since. It's been such a blessing and I am thankful to God for putting them in my path.
Other than all that, things are pretty normal here. Just waiting for the 115 degree plus 50% humidity to die down so that we can get outside and enjoy some beautiful Phoenix winter/fall weather.
I hope this update finds you all well. Talk at you soon!

6 months later....
I really feel like every time I write a blog post it begins with something like "wow, it's been awhile since i've written!" So, in effort to stay true to my ways (and because it's really true this time - it's been 6 months!!).. Wow, it's been awhile since i've written. ;)
So much has happened in our lives in the last 6 months that I want to share with you all. First and foremost, my sis-in-law, Lexie, is expecting her second bundle of joy in October! We are so very excited to meet our newest family addition and.... IT'S A BOY! Yes, Arie Boaz (middle name TBA) will be gracing us with his adorable presence sometime around October 22nd. Lexie and Jason are of course thrilled and KC can't wait to have a little brother.
I have officially FINISHED school, yes, I said finished. Currently I have a salon that I will be working at, I am just waiting to receive my license in the mail from the state board and then my career can officially begin! I am so very happy to be done and to be beginning this new and exciting chapter in my life. I will be working Thursdays-Saturdays which means I will have Sunday-Wednesdays at home with my 2 favorite boys and more time for all my family and friends. We are so blessed to be able to have this arrangement. Since Gunner's birth, I have not had a whole lot of time at home with him between school and my previous job at USAA, so I am SO grateful to be able to work and do what I am good at and love as well as be home with my little man the majority of the time.
Hunting season has begun! Eli and his dad have started scouting and are looking forward to a busy busy season. There is a large chance that Eli will be in WY for close to 50 days guiding anywhere from 10-15 hunters at some point in the season. Of course this is a BLESSING from God financially and overall business wise for Eli and Tony. We are so proud and happy for them both. However, 50 days apart from my husband is going to be tough as well as how tough it will be on Eli to be apart from Gunner and I for that long. Please keep us in your prayers for strength to get through the season. :)
Gunner is a GROWING boy! He is 27 months old now. He loves anything cars related, dinosaurs, going to his summer movie every Tuesday morning, and running around in circles. ;) In the last month ish he has developed SO many new words and phrases, we can't keep up. It's such an amazing thing to watch this tiny little 5lb baby grow into a little miniature man every day. He is such a good boy and absolutely loves snuggles.
All of the parents are doing well and of course enjoying every minute with their grandchildren. Kathy and Tony can't wait for the newest grandson to arrive and fill our homes and hearts with even more joy and love.
On April 10th, one of my very best friends passed away very unexpectedly. Her name is Nancy Tofteland and she leaves behind a loving husband whom she was married to for a short 5 months, a wonderful and loving mother, and many many friends who's lives she touched daily. I struggled with whether to place this in the blog because it's such sad news amidst happy life updates. But, it still remains a very important part of our lives as of late and I want to ask our closest family members and friends (all of you) for continued prayers for those impacted by her loss, particularly her husband and mother. We all miss Nancy and wish she were still here, but we know that God had a greater purpose for her in heaven.
Below I have posted some of our most recent photos. I will do my best to write again soon. Love to you all forever and ever. :)
