WOW it has been a long time since i've updated this blog! I am so sorry to be such a slacker! As usual things have been chaotic and busy - just the way I like it.
Since our last update (when little KC was born), we've taken our annual family trip to Reno for the SCI convention we always have a booth at, celebrated Jason and Lexie's 1 year marriage anniversary, and - just recently - celebrated Gunner's 1 year BIRTHDAY! As a matter of fact, today is his official 1st birthday. I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone by. I can't believe that my once tiny little 5lb 8oz wrinkly, squishy, cuddle bug is now a 20lb, ALMOST walking, babbling, go go go, cuddle bug! He is so much fun and makes us laugh every day. I can't wait to see what new stages the next year brings us.
Gunner at this age: crawls like a monkey - his knees still never touch the ground! He has 2 bottom teeth fully out, 1 top tooth about half way out, and a couple that we can see have already broken through the skin. He says "mu mum mum mu mu" or "bu bub bu bu bu" and blows bubbles all the time. More recently he has started making this high pitched squeal and also, imitating mommy and daddy's laugh. He opens his mouth real wide and says "ha ha ha" - it's the cutest thing ever. He can stand up for pretty long periods of time and scales the couch - he is starting to try to take those first steps but isn't quite there. He'll be there before we know it though. He loves to play in his play area we have set up with all his toys, and he loves to chase mommy around the island in the kitchen - cracking up the whole time. He loves when mommy and daddy take him to the park and he gets to sit in the grass and play with the leaves. He drinks out of his juicy cup and loves it and loves to sit in his high chair and eat the gerber cookies while watching his favorite shows on Sprout (which are The Pajanimals, Zaboomafu, and The Goodnight Show). We could not have been blessed with a more amazing child.
Family updates: KC is growing growing growing! She is SO stinking cute and loves to smile with auntie. Jason is still working at Banner as a nurse and going to school while Lexie is a stay at home mommy (and an AMAZING one at that!). All our parents are still doing fabulous and just love spending time with their grandkid(s). Eli is gearing up for antelope season which is just around the corner. I am still at USAA and also still going to SWIHA for massage therapy. I'll be finished in October and will then be starting my own BUSINESS! Once I get that going for a little bit, i'll be getting my certification to instruct yoga (which is only a 3 month program). I LOVE school but I must admit, I can't wait to be done. Mainly because I am sooooo excited to start my own business AND have more time with my beautiful boys!
In the post above are some recent pics from a picnic in the park with G and Eli, and from our trip to the Out of Africa wildlife park in Camp Verde we took today with Grandma and Grandpa Grimmett, Auntie Lexie, Uncle Jason, Cousin KC, and Grandma Cheryl. We had a BLAST! And Gunner really loved the animals. He kept giving a group of eland's the stink eye - but otherwise, he loved them all. I'll also find some more pics of the past couple months laying around and post them for you to see too.
WE LOVE YOU ALL! I promise to write again soon. :)
